I forgot my Matrimony ID / Password. What should I do?

Click on the "Forgot Password" link on the home page and enter your "Registered E-mail address" or "Matrimony ID". Your "Matrimony ID" and "Password" will be sent to you on the e-mail that you provided us while registering on Site immediately.



How do I change my password?


·      Step 1: Logon to using your "Matrimony / E-mail ID" and "Password".


·      Step 2: On the "My Matrimony" page, please click “Change Password” on the left navigation bar below the "My Profile" subhead.


·      Step 3: Enter your current password


·      Step 4: Enter your new password and re-enter for confirming the same. Click on "Change Password" button.


·      Your new password will be activated immediately and can be used from the next time you login.



Why am I not able to login? Why is the message "Invalid Matrimony ID / E-mail ID" or "Incorrect Password" being displayed?


·         The password you have entered might be wrong. Alternatively, on your keyboard you might be having the CAPS LOCK key "On". Please check whether the password entered is in the correct case (Upper or Lower).


·         Please ensure that there are no spaces in the Matrimony ID typed. For example, it should be typed without space between characters and numbers (“A123456”).


·         If you have forgotten your password, please click on the "Forgot Password" link to retrieve it.


·         The E-mail ID you are using to login must be same that you used while registering on the Login via any alternate or unregistered E-mail IDs will not function.



Can I choose my own Matrimony ID?

Every Matrimony ID is unique and is allocated by the system. You cannot choose your own matrimony ID since it is system generated. It cannot be changed under any circumstance.


Im registering for my sister/brother and me. Can we both have the same Matrimony ID?

A Matrimony ID identifies each person uniquely. Please register separate profiles for you and your sibling/s.


How long will it take to upgrade my profile, once I make the payment?

We will upgrade your profile as soon as we receive your payment. An e-mail confirming your upgradation will be sent to you.


What is online payment and how do I make an online payment?

Online payment is the easiest and fastest mode of payment. You can make payments through the Internet using your net banking /credit card /debit card/e-wallets. 


How do I make the payment through post / courier?

You can send a cheque/DD along with your Matrimony ID to any of our addresses. Please send cheques in the local currency of the office to which it is sent.  


How long will it take to upgrade my profile if I have made the payment by Cheque/DD through post or courier?

We will upgrade your profile once we receive your payment. If you have made the payment and your profile is still not upgraded, kindly contact our office or send a mail to along with your payment details.


How do I add my profile?


·         Click on the link Register Profile Free


·        You will be directed to a page with form to add your profile. Input all the necessary as well as optional details asked in the form. Click the “Submit” button.


·        Provide as much detail as possible, including your complete contact details. This will help in increasing the chances of your profile being shortlisted when our members search for matches.


·       After you submit your information, your profile will be automatically created and you will be given a unique "Matrimony ID" generated for future references.


All the profiles are validated before they are accepted in database. It may take up to 24 hours for the validation. An e-mail would be sent to you once the profile is accepted in the system.
